| Just a few miles from home, this caught my eye. Nature never seems to run out of beautiful variations on its many themes, even out here on the plains. Canon EOS 6D, ES 71II hood, EF 50 mm ƒ/1.4: 1/400th, ƒ/8, ISO 100, handheld. I used the * control to take the (center point) light reading in the brightest area of the clouds, then focused and shot otherwise as normal into the branches, counting on the tight f-stop to catch everything beyond.
