| So I picked up my laptop, intending to take it with me on a trip, and... ouch. It's dead, Jim. I despise lithium batteries. This one of the reasons why. They don't just die, they often take the equipment they're installed in with them when they go. They're the Jim Jones of energy storage. I hold the most hope for ultracap / supercap technology. The sooner we get rid of chemical energy storage — conventional batteries — the better. EXIF:
