| This is the Marantz setup that sits on (and bends — look at the photo!) the top of my desk at home. That power amp weighs in at about 28 lbs (about 12.7 kilos.) The tuner and preamp only count for another few pounds, but taken all together, the desk doesn't like it much. Doesn't matter, because I like it. I listen to Sirius satellite radio most of the time, piped in via 75 ohm coax on FM. And yes, I know the tuner is nudged a little off-center; I hit it when I dusted off the units for the photo, and the light gave me so much trouble I forgot to even see if the tuning looked right. Oooops. It is difficult to photograph a four foot expanse of brushed aluminum! EXIF:
