Forever Plaid Business Card
My sister and I went to see a performance of Forever Plaid at the Fort Peck Theater; I had gotten us seats in the front row. Forever Plaid is basically a story about an imaginary a cappella group that was, in the story, killed on the way to a performance in a motor vehicle accident. They've come back as ghosts, more or less, to perform that last show. The performance is basically a whole bunch of a cappella tunes (done really well in the case of this specific event, a really really great job) tied together by consistently humorous patter and acting that fleshes out the story of the group. It's not pure; there's piano accompaniment for some of this. Which works fine. It's a terrific show, and this felt to both of us like a particularly good example of how to do a show like this right. So at one point during the performance, one of the performers marches off the stage and, in character, hands me a business card. That's what the picture is; an image of a one-of-a-kind souvenir I now have for that specific performance. I was delighted to be the audience member to be picked, and the card is now in a lucite block as a memento. You can learn about the Fort Peck Theater schedule and operations here. EXIF:
