Here's a shot with the Canon and the macro lens. I shot it at 3200 ISO, set the aperture up from ground zero (ƒ/2.8) a bit so as to have a little depth of field but keep the speed up, and shot using the ambient light in the tank. The result was predictably grainy, so I reduced it, worked the levels and just touched the saturation a bit, and here you go. This was hand-held, the portion of the image with the invertebrate is about 300 thousandths across here.
