This starfish appeared out of nowhere — well, I'm sure it's been in our live rock for the last few months, but we'd never seen it — about two days ago. It wasn't moving, at least obviously, and so I thought it was a fossil I'd simply failed to note. But Deb thought it was something new. So today, I look, and it's two inches from where it was when we noticed it. How about that. It's about .3 inches across, pretty good sized, really, for it to suddenly show up like that.
