|This little creature was on the front wall of our salt water aquarium this morning. It is about 50 thousandths across, quite small. Nothing has been added to the tank in about four months — no idea where this came from. Part of the charm of a tank with a decent ecosystem running all the time is you never know what will come out of hiding.|
Looking at it today (next day) I think this may be a glass anemone; those tentacles are not coming out of the periphery of the base, they're offset into the tank a little ways. I can't be sure, because I've never seen an immature one. I'll keep an eye on it, though.
