This is a scan of a Polaroid, a test shot for a 35mm session with model Stacey; it's quite soft, as Polaroids are wont to be, but I like it anyway, so here it is. It had a bunch of grunge on it, dust and the like, I pulled most of that off using WinImages. I did some additional work on the dark areas of the image using Aperture 2.0, which brought out a number of new artifacts, dots and the like, that were not previously visible. Very strange. But the backdrop and dark areas came up beautifully, it kind of looks like an oil painting to me now. Scan performed with an Epson 4870 Photo / slide scanner and the OSX "Epson Scan" client software, from Epson. I ran WinImages inside Parallels, as it is a Windows program. There's nothing like WinImages available on the Mac at this time. #model #pinup #staceyp #winimages
