Water Workhorse
| Operating windmill NW of Glasgow. The horizontal shaft that the blades are mounted upon, via gears, turn the vertical shaft in the middle of the tower; this operates a water pump at the base, which in turn brings water up from the well beneath and fills the round trough in the foreground. Cattle then drink there when they are in the area. EXIF:
