Aside from her beauty, Jeanine is whip-smart and holds two first dan black belts from similar martial arts styles. She was a student of mine for years, and I'm pleased to note that one of those first dans ( 智道館 ), she earned from me.

As with any student that gets all the way to black belt, there are lots of memories; I recall how tentative she was initially, and also the focused power she brought to her first dan test. I also can't forget the day that for some reason she failed to get up on her toes for a spinning kick and tore her ankle up severely. She was back four days later, ankle wrapped, grim as could be. One tough lady. 😊
