One day in July of 1996, I was teaching a martial arts class at my school downtown. It was warm, the front door was propped open, the fans were running, everyone was hot and sweaty, just the way I like to keep them. During a break, I was sorta-kinda facing the front door from the side, and this kitten marches in, heads straight for the back (across about 60 feet of floor) and zips into my office. "Uh", I said. "There goes trouble." And so it was. Trouble came home with me that evening and we became best friends. She had a long and healthy life, some 15 years. Kept my audio equipment warm for me and everything. Alas, Trouble laid down for the last time in early March, 2011. I'll miss her deeply; she was a good friend. I give my heart to these noble creatures; when they die, a chunk of me is torn into oblivion with them. Bye bye, baby kitty. EXIF:
