|This is a pink mushroom coral that has been thriving in our tank for many months. At night, under the blue "moon" lighting, it fluoresces a shocking orange. This is because the blue LEDs that serve as the lighting are, I believe, actually ultraviolet LEDs that generate the blue color with a blue fluorescent coating, and some of the ultraviolet gets through... hence the orange color of the mushroom at night.|
It is about three inches across when fully open, as here.
