Given how soft this lens is, I'm pretty happy with the detail recovery you see here. Two kinds of unsharp mask, three kinds of convolution-based sharpening, two kinds of noise reduction.
The itch for a long lens grows every time I use this thing. I've seen some really beautiful lunar captures using the Canon EF 400 mm ƒ/5.6L USM with the 1.4x and 2x teleconverters.
