Mad Cat Mech, With F/X
This is a 3-inch tall miniature that I shot (original is here ), processed to JPEG in Aperture3, then taken into WinImages for some special f/x foolery. I have quite a collection of these, but until the last couple of weeks, had never gamed with them. I collected them because I like mech games on the XBox, etc., and they simply look very cool. However, our eldest-spawn, Brian, is an avid gamer and also a regular at our chess/scrabble/xbox nights (Thursdays), and he's been teaching Evan and I how to play. It's fairly complex, enough so that after two, three and four hour games, we're still learning the fine details, but it sure is fun. I may make it a project to shoot some more of them — some are very cool, like construction equipment that walks, all manner of futuristic machinery.
