Flying Split Kick #2
That's me. This technique can be executed from the ground, and when done that way, you typically get about three to five feet of height. To get this height — over ten feet — I used a trampoline. Bouncy-bouncy. 😊 The double downward strike is a means to counter some of the momentum lost by the legs snapping up and out; as the fists strike down, there's a vector addition of momentum in the opposite direction, which helps keep the kick up.
