|I finally got my Mac Mini re-connected to my theater AV system; I had pulled it out when I set up the new gear. Always wanted to see my SDR software in 1080p, and here it is. Sitting on the couch, I can run the whole shooting match with a wireless trackpad. Here, the SDR is tuned to the 40 meter amateur band, specifically to an LSB signal on 7230 kHz. |
That mini isn't exactly a model of CPU horsepower; it's an older Intel dual core running around 2 GHz, and as you can see if you look at the green bars in the upper left hand corner, it's running at about 75% CPU on both cores.
Makes a dandy media computer, too. Deb and I both share our iTunes libraries on the LAN, so this machine sees them both and we can pump them out the AV system as we're hanging around the kitchen, dining, or theater spaces.
