Poppet
| In this image, Poppet is looking up at the cord on a shop light which I had set to swinging. This produced specular highlights of the shop light — long white bars — in the black of her eyes, which I found very distracting... so I edited them out. Now there's no specular highlight at all, which I find... odd. Still, I like it better than the bent bar appearing in her eyes. I guess I could throw a fake highlight in there, but... nah. Her pupils are actually different sizes — that's not an editing artifact. Anyway, look at the coloring in her eyes. Isn't that striking? Poppet is a rescue. She was a feral kitten when we found her. Now she's a much-loved member of the family.
