This is a web application I wrote to provide the information I need when I'm looking to photograph auroras. It provides weather and astronomical data so I can determine if I'll be able to see anything. If that looks good, then the data on the magnetic field is useful to determine if there's likely to be anything worth trying to photograph. I actually wrote this some time ago, however solar activity has been low for years which in turn meant few or no auroras. While that was going on, the data sources I use to collect the information I need all changed formats. So this is a new version of Astrotron, now up to date with the latest and greatest data collection techniques. Here's hoping it results in some good aurora shots.
